Now I am going to sell my Rubicon and not look back at Jeep. They just totally jumped the shark.

Cash in advance.

I buy stuff from China & HK that went out the back door or fell off a truck all the time. It's just a question of the search. I bought a TLR2s for $150, a EOTech 512 for $70, 2 SAPI plates for $90. a VHF/UHF hand held w/ no lis for $50, Timny 3lbs trigger group for $150. and a 13 ft RHI for $600 (plus about $100 in customs/shipping) All new. A $35 TS tablet is not so surprising.

Yup, I too was hired by DHS via a contractor. My UA was hot for Benzo (I was in the middle of a messy divorce, but had no script), I told the Dr at the physical and they passed me through. I left for the same reason you mention. No rhyme or reason for speciality hires. Myself and another highly qualified co-worker applied for a IED detection instructor position and it was awarded to a 55+ year old woman who had probably never seen an explosive in her life. I left a few weeks later. My co-worker lasted a few more months until he threw in the towel and moved into private security.

I have a password to get into my house, well, a key code. My deadbolt lock has a number pad. I punch in my code and the deadbolt unlocks. I hate carrying keys around, if I could get my truck to start up that way i would (I already have a hidden wireless keypad on my truck that will unlock and/or open the windows.

If this becomes a everyman's Echelon can we expect a new era of quasi-puritanical social actions? Jesusland anyone?

I hate the credit Houses and scores. I am a small business owner and I go from large cash reserves in August to negative cash by February ever year (this year was the last of that), so I get a credit score flux by 100 points in some weird cycle. My social network for are my volunteer associates (paramedics and rescue operations) and friends that went to a very small New England boarding school who are now spread out around the country. However, last and pertaining to this ./ is the group of punks, hackers, insurgents and general freaks I went to college with in the SF bay area. Most of us still post out latest antics when we pull them (ex: I post my 37mm launcher payload designs for flashbangs, smokers, 2 stage flechettes, and wasp rounds, stuff I would "never" "build" since the ATFE considers them "destructive devices". I only use FB to stay in touch with people I would otherwise not keep up with, I have my account as locked down as possible and have no information other then name and my email address, but I know my data being locked from "non-friends" does not protect it from corps FB make deals with.

Thanks to the Daily Show and the Report, I follow much more closely what is going on at the local level and national level. I am a bit darker in that I am starting to think another civil war is coming between Jesus freaks, with the ones that profit off them and EVERYONE to the left of them. I see a 10:1 Liberals:Jesus Freaks since the liberals don't like guns.
