Next week we feature: Make your Ferrari look like a Ford Escort.
Oh that isn't fair... to the Ford Escorts.
If this keeps going I'll end up firmly believing that educating the population is the solution to all of humanity matters.
Not quite. There is always the nuclear option- you know just nuke the planet until cockroaches are the highest form of life. Then it because the cockroaches' problems on what to do with the RIAA.
Honestly tossing a rock through a neighbors window is barely a crime especially when the child ends up having to pay to replace the window. How in the world did you go from that to burning down an orphanage?
Ok, do me a favor and get off your fucking high horse. I have a criminal record and I spent time in jail because of it (among other consequences). There are very few crimes that should follow someone around for their whole life - sexual offenses and first degree murder spring to mind - others are usually just people doing stupid shit without thinking at the time. Should I really be turned down for a job because I got into a fight 10 years ago in college but have kept my nose clean since then? That is kind of like dooming someone to a career of wishing windows for writing down a wrong answer on an exam in 5th grade. Actions should have consequence but they should fit the crime.
The only people who never did stupid shit are those who have never done anything. Those of us with criminal records were just stupid enough to get caught and charged for doing it.
I don't think I've ever heard anyone say that ADHD didn't exist only that it is severely over diagnosed. Growing up I had to deal with many people that were diagnosed with ADD and ADHD. Most of them didn't require medication only a lot more physical activity and discipline then they had. Children are naturally active creatures and very few of them have the same attention span of adults which makes me believe that if they out grow it then they probably never needed to be medicated. From personal experience, my brother and I both had trouble in school because we were both bored out of our minds. My brother acted out physically and got diagnosed with ADD. I did my own thing without disrupting the class and wasn't diagnosed.
Your son is probably one of the few children that may actually have ADHD but I don't know for sure because I've never interacted with him. Just because your son was properly diagnosed doesn't mean that all the other children are.
Just bloody buy Oracle! Last I saw there was like 120million oracle shares trading at around 25$ so the price for buying every share is about 3billion$. Didn't Google make 6.5billion net in 2009?
Yes these are rough figures from a minute or so of googling and I make no claims of them being 100% correct.
Of course most Americans simply follow one or two news sources. Those news sources being the ones that most accurately reflect their own opinions because they're more comfortable when they don't have said opinions challenged. So for the most part, those who feel the war is wrong and being run in a horrible manner will receive cherry picked sections confirming that belief. And those who feel that the war is justified, and even releasing this information is only putting American soldiers in danger will find equally cherry picked sections that confirm those beliefs. In the end relatively few people will be exposed to anything thought provoking to them.
And those that do will have cognitive dissonance, write it off and not think about it again.
Frankly, if nothing else it will help America have some idea as to what is happening, and that there is a war going on.
You would hope but how many Americans actually know about Wikileaks?
seems to favors special effects over storyline!
Well yea, it is cheaper and easier to blow something up compared to writing something good. It is also easier to sell a 5 sec clip of special effects then a 5 sec clip of storyline. It would also say that it is harder to appreciate special effects with really crappy resolution while the story usually doesn't suffer.
