Comment has anyone asked Cyberbunker? (Score 1) 218

I would love to hear from Cyberbunker on why they are providing hosting to a spammer. Oh wait, I just found their AUP that's linked from their website:

Mind Your Own Business

CyberBunker does not poke around on your servers. Customers are allowed to host any content they like, except child porn and anything related to terrorism. Everything else is fine. CyberBunker has adopted a policy not to mind our clients business. Our famous "Mind Your Own Business" policy.

I'm sure glad they are up front.

Submission + - Are Internet Explorer users dumb? (cnn.com)

Wizel603 writes: taken from a recent CNN article:

Are users of other Web browsers smarter than the people who use Microsoft's Internet Explorer?

A new survey doesn't quite say so. But it sure as heck suggests it.

The survey by AptiQuant, a Vancouver-based Web consulting company, gave more than 100,000 participants an IQ test, while monitoring which browser they used to take the test.

The result? Internet Explorer users scored lower than average, while Chrome, Firefox and Safari users were slightly above average.

And users of the more obscure Camino and Opera browsers, as well as those using Explorer with Chrome Frame (a plug-in designed to let users view emerging HTML5 content), had what AptiQuaint called "exceptionally higher" IQ levels.

Comment Re:Targeting Linux? (Score 1) 297

Your comment makes me wonder if bsd running companies will become the next logical target if enforcing the FAT patents proves to hold any value whatsoever, even if only gaining a settlement.

I suspect microsoft believes it holds at least as many patents for technology within bsd as it does for linux, but are concentrating on one target at a time. Any wins they have in the fight against linux will only make their patent arsenal stronger when they turn their guns on bsd.
