Ralph Spoilsport writes: Proponents of marijuana legalization, which is on the California ballot in 2010, have hit a Facebook wall in their effort to grow an online campaign to rethink the nation's pot laws. Facebook initially accepted ads from the group Just Say Now, running them from August 7 to August 16, generating 38 million impressions and helping the group's fan page grow to over 6,000 members. But then they were abruptly removed. Should the phone company prevent phone calls on pot legalisation? If not, then what makes Facebook so special?

adeelarshad82 writes: The rumors are now reality, Samsung showed the world its first glimpse of the Samsung Galaxy Tab, the company's new 7-inch tablet. Samsung Mobile will release more information about the Galaxy Tab on September 2 in advance of IFA Berlin 2010. Tab will run on Android 2.2 and feature full Web-browsing and video calling. The information given by the company implied that the Galaxy Tab will sport an HD screen for video, Flash support, support for e-books, possible GPS navigation, and PC linking.

I am currently getting my BS in Computer Information Systems through Saint Leo University. They are a brick and mortar school based out of Florida. They also have many satellite campuses on Military bases. I was actually in the Military when I started taking classes at the Langley AFB campus.

I find that if you take the discussions seriously and put time into the papers, you can learn quite a bit. I feel that they are not a "degree mill" type of school. They do not differentiate between an "online" degree and a "regular" degree which to me is a plus, given the stigma of online learning.

There are some classes I've breezed through (mostly the COM classes, I've been in IT for 12 years..) and others I've had to really work hard at. For instance I'm getting C in marketing, this semester, at least so far. Marketing?! I wasn't really prepared for all of the case studies and the professor wants very detailed answers that demonstrate a working knowledge of the material. Now that I know this, I will be able to bring my grade up, but it goes to show that it is on par with classroom learning as far as the range of difficulties.

Apple's support forum is being bombarded by user complaints centering on the iPad's inability to maintain a full, steady Wi-Fi connection. Users are speculating that the weak signal strength may be caused by poor placement of the Wi-Fi antenna; others ponder if the problems are the symptoms of a software issue. Apple posted a Knowledge Base article, pertaining to these issues. Not only does the article make suggestions for a remedy, it gives legitimacy to the fact that Apple considers this a very real issue. The article states that having a third-party Wi-Fi router that supports both the 2.4-GHz and 5-GHz bands may be subject to a connectivity problem. It suggests that users can setup different SSID's for each band's network and to ensure that each network uses the same security type (WEP, WPA or WPA2). PCMag also has a few tips for early adopter experiencing connectivity issues until Apple comes up with a more definitive explanation and fix for this problem.
