Thanks for the explanation. I knew (sort of) that proteins get broken down into amino acids, but had assumed the proteins themselves are traveling in the blood before being broken down.

  Do any of the proteins in our food get into the blood supply, or are only the amino acids able to do that?

There should be 50 &'s in the subject line. But there can't be. A message comes up saying the subject line is empty, and won't even let me preview the post.

Second attempt, there should be 48 &'s in the subject line, following the number 48. A message comes up saying use less repetition in the subject line. Won't preview.

Third attempt, there are 25 digits with 25 &'s between them, and the preview seems to show the same. We'll see what happens in the post.

"Buddhist converts." Did I say that she converted to Buddhism, or that she converted her whole family?

But, yes, she is of Asian ancestry, though she was born in this country. To make it more confusing for you, she was born in 'The States', but not in 'a state'.
