Pick up and move? Temporary cables? Are you seriously trolling or what? I do multi gig transfers daily and mostly automatically. Streaming 1080p to multiple clients would completely saturate wifi and isn't feasible at all.
Yes there is wifi in my environment but the devices that don't move are hard wired.

Exactly why do I need reduntant power, redundant networking and locked cages for a home network? All I need is tons of storage and very fast interconnects. Every PC in my house does backups to the server. The same server also serves media to all the media devices in the house. There is a middle ground between grandma checking her email and a professional web host. Some people's requirements may be different than yours. Deal with it.

The move came after a fiery 2009 Lexus crash after a floor mat was improperly installed and may have trapped the accelerator pedal, causing the vehicle to race down California Highway 125 outside San Diego at more than 100 miles per hour, crashing and bursting into flames, killing an off-duty California Highway Patrol Officer and three members of his family.

Sounds Darwinian to me. If you don't know how to turn your car off, then frankly as a race we don't need you genes!

If I remember this case it was a rental car with a push button starter. As others have mentioned it requires you to hold the start button in for 10 seconds to shut the engine off. The person who rented the car was not made aware of that at the time they rented the car.

Reminds me of another tool control issue that cost the AF a KC135 at Tinker AFB a few years ago.

Basic gist was he used a homemade pressure gauge to test the integrity of the airframe post depot maintenance. The pressure relief valves had be sealed up during PDM and never reactivated. The technicians gauge had no peg so he failed to notice when the needle began its second trip.
Needless to say the effects where impressive. Total write-off of the aircraft.
