posys writes: "Unmanned "Surge": 3000 More Robots for War By Noah Shachtman Email August 13, 2007 | 8:00:00 AM

U.S. military robots ran 30,000 missions in 2006 — hunting for, and getting rid of, improvised explosives. Now, the military has launched a crash project to radically increase its unmanned ground forces. Call it the robotic equivalent of the "surge."

This is great development for Robotics, nevermind the war. Please check out our thoughts on the Robotic Wageless Economy here: http://teaminfinity.com/ROBOTISM_sldr_hls

The first batch of 'bots is due September 24, Defense News' Kris Osborn reports. 1000 machines are supposed to be enlisted by the end of the year, with two thousand more in five years.

Word of the robot recruitment comes just weeks after the military revealed it had deployed armed robots to Iraq."

WIRED has released news of the quickening pace of Humanizing Robots...

http://www.wired.com/science/discoveries/news/2007 /07/nextgen_robots?showAllComments=true

The quickest meme or way to think of this is: "Humanize Robots to De-Robotize Humans"

This is fantastic news since the quicker we humanize robots, to sooner we can DE-Robotize Humans.

http://teaminfinity.com/MagnaCarta.html for related developments, plans etc.

HUMANIZING ROBOTS will DE-ROBOTIZE HUMANS !!

What we mean to say is 99% of humans, whether they admit it or not, are pretty much ROBOTS. More HUMANIZED ROBOTS will more readily penetrate the "work force" of ROBOTIZED HUMANS, freeing us to do what Humans were meant to "BE", not DO.

Please, come on by, & see, how we can all, make this happen in our lifetimes. [You know the pace of everything is fast, so you KNOW this can happen SOON, especially if YOU, get involved and demand it from your "LEADERS", TODAY]

Be well

Submission + - Robots Teach Autistic Kids Social Skills (wired.com)

posys writes: "Wired Magazine has an article http://www.wired.com/science/discoveries/news/2007 /07/autistic_robot?showAllComments=true showing how the eternal patience of Robots lends themselves well to teaching new social skills to Autistic Children.

Of course, since Robots can be designed to exhibit only specific desirable behaviors, and can do them over and over again with infinite patience, Robots are the perfect teachers of new social skills to humans both disabled or not.

In a related story, there is a website promoting improvement of the overall human condition via what is called: "The Age of Recreation via the Emancipation of Humanity from the Machinery of Economy via the TROIKA of Robotic Wageless Economy, AI & Geothermal Energy" "
