Using your logic by the time we find out CO2 is NOT the cause we will have destroyed the world economy and have the devastation to humanity already also.

I don't trust anyone on the Green Madness side as there has been numerous cases of hidden data that once exposed proved incorrect. So you hurry I will keep the standard of living that has extended my lifespan far above my ancestors.

The Taliban is made up of evil people that want to kill you and your family. That has been publicly broadcast by them.

Further the problem is NOT our military it is the morons in DC that insist we adhere to the Geneva Convention while LYING about what is in it. The Taliban is explicitly denied protections more than a few ways by the GC. The fact is that they are fighting in a manner that purposefully endangers civilians and confuses the US military in hopes they will kill them or at least generate bad propaganda so the useful idiots will support their side by not supporting their country. The wikileak guys don't deserve the name scum nor the protection of those whose lives are risked to keep their sad hides free.

Reading the article it seems they are talking short term. However those that say it will cause a problem are looking long term with mass conversion which is like the worry of Prius bubbles but nationwide.

Further the 2kW load does not say for how long. Is that for 2 hours or 8?

I think an electric car would be nice IF they are efficient and cost effective. Given the extreme bias toward anything claiming to be green I wonder though. Further what about drives longer than 25 miles? Taking a two hour drive north might mean stopping for 4 to recharge. Or what about trucks and RVs? The solution and thought pattern seems very city centric with all the country people having magic happen.

When I was in school I talked with a couple of instructors (I tended to finish tests early) that pointed to specific students that were cheating. Guess what the punishment was? Nothing is the correct answer. What the schools need to teach is accountability and that is the exact opposite of how the self esteem factories that have been created function. That includes the teachers at the grade school level who are virtually unaccountable once tenure is obtained.

But if the car consumes electricity in an inefficient manner and the grid you use has high loses from an inefficient power plant then it might create MORE emissions. If you want feel good physics that is fine, but I prefer reality. The reality is that the car consumes energy that DOES come from an emissions generating source and you have merely concentrated the quantity at one place and for most green madness victims this also starts a NIMBY fight to eliminate that source. This A/C unit IS NOT as efficient as claimed but they are pumping the numbers up to fish suckers in so they can make a crap load of money from their patent. This is becoming a common practice as the smug people multiply.

Comment NOT 50-90% more efficient (Score 2, Interesting) 445

This is another typical over statement. They calculated the efficiency without including the energy that is required to reverse the desiccant used thus the calculation is misleading at best and really just a lie. This seems to be a trend that started with "zero emissions" cars that had the electricity magically appear.

Believe it when you see calculations based on a closed loop system as I am betting that the efficiency advantage will tumble a LONG way.

If that was what it was paying for then I would have no issue. Instead it pays for a school system that has declining effectiveness with rapidly increasing cost and decreasing responsiveness. Roads that are poorly maintained. A ton of give away programs that are intended to redistribute wealth and buy votes. Pork and self serving programs. Of course this is my state but from my reading I am unaware of any that are that different.

The sad fact is that in many places the government take is closing in on that of the store owner actually running the place (likely it makes more at many grocery stores) All to feed the endless hunger of the government to expand.

Reality is that if the states had a reasonable tax it would not be economical to have an item shipped rather than pay the tax and sales would increase locally.
