Comment sure, but what about the tabs? (Score 1) 417
Can we have the tabs autohide the way you can have the windows taskbar autohide? Then the web takes up the entire screen...or should I just hit f11?

I'm running Chrome and it appears to work fine...slow, but you can't blame the browser for that.
But how come for the founding fathers didn't remember the internets?!?!
Seriously though, that shows initiative to maintain communications infrastructure. I'm pretty sure they'd be in favor of a government controlled base medium (i.e. open wireless channels) that can be leased and operated by private companies. If another company can come in and offer the same services for less money, then you'll have competition. The current state of affairs is a small group of monopolies (no, not an oligopoly, in my area, as in many, there is only one provider allowed) colluding to pretty much screw everyone. It's a broken system and it's why we're so far behind other developed nations.
Sorry, maybe I didn't make myself clear.
You are correct that iOS currently has more users than Android.
You are incorrect in stating that iOS devices are outselling Android devices.
Ergo, the truth lies between your assertion that iOS is more popular and outselling Android and others assertions that Android is more popular than iOS.
As is typical in arguments like this, the truth is somewhere in between.

If analytic firms (and their summaries on Wikipedia) are to be believed (and for this I'm too lazy to do real follow up), then iOS is currently #2, but should be supplanted sometime in 2011 or 2012 (read paragraphs 3-4).
Android is gaining market share primarily at the expense of RIM.
...but it is time that slashdotters understand that running a business into the ground by failing to adapt is tough.
