5 years after lots of people moved from java to .net, I see lots of people moving back (or in other directions).

Attempt at killing the iPod with Zune: FAIL

Attempt at Killing the iPhone with Windows7/Kin: FAIL

I hope IE9 takes HTML5 seriously, because people are no longer afraid to install their own browser. Their assumed dominance could turn into another big FAIL.

At least Active Directory and SQL Server still hold a pretty solid place in many corporations.

I agree with #2, this would come in handy, and would give rise to some better apps on the ipad.

I don't miss Flash one bit.

In addition to the things listed above, he obviously has a pretty good grasp of instructional design principles.

I watched a couple videos, and has either studied it or learned from trial and error somewhere along the line.

Let us not forget this important glue that holds together solid instruction of any kind.

Actually they are growing their debt steadily. That doesn't equal tanking, but it isn't a great sign.
