Exactly.

Dogs with a human handler are too open to abuse. The handler may intentionally or unintentionally signal the dog, so it then indicates, and they then have permission to do a search. If a dog cannot be calibrated, and the accuracy known, it should not be used for law enforcement.

What I don't understand is how people can rationalise prison rape as an acceptable part of the punishment, yet not be concerned that the rapist and the victim will be let back into society after their terms are served, and expect them to be well adjusted, upright citizens.
