I'm not sure whether my watch is considered 'smart'.
I like the sleep and heart-rate monitoring, step counter, etc. plus the ability to pay for stuff with my watch without needing my phone or wallet is super handy.
I guess it's about the BWE - big watch energy.

I didn't say what the cause of the bug was, so I'm not sure why you feel the need to "correct" me and state what the cause of the bug likely is.
I was merely pointing out why it is valid for the Messages app to use the camera app, which is something the OP has an issue with.
Because people can take photos within the Messages app itself using either the front or the back camera. It would seem it uses the camera app behind the scenes, rather than duplicating the photo taking code into the Messages app.
So far, this is the only right answer that acknowledges it's shared engine. I would only open Edge if a bug report comes in that can only be reproduced in Edge.
