Don't blame the absurd gun laws that allow every douchebag the "right" to bear arms..

Here in the USA, we have that right here. We value it. I'd recommend living in another country if you can't accept it. That being said, gun ownership is a serious responsibility. My guns, when they aren't physically on me, are in a separate room that has it's own lock with a separate key. Furthermore, a gun is always loaded. Always. That's the attitude you need to have, and I would never leave a gun, even if I thought it was unloaded, where a child could reach it. ...and having a realistic gun controller for a three year old to play with is just flat spooky.

The system isn't working perfectly. Mozilla is taking Microsoft's word that these plugins, which install in their software without notice, don't have any vulnerabilities and are working just fine. Microsoft's plugins should be required to behave as every other responsible plugin. It shouldn't install with stealth, there should be a way to easily disable, and there should be a way to easily uninstall.

The cop didn't randomly stop someone on the street and ask for his ID. The cop didn't say, "Hey, I'm going to stop Black People and ask for ID's because they're naughty!" The police were called and told there was a possible break in at a specific residence. The cop had every right, and had the duty to investigate that call. The cop had every right to ask the person inside the home for ID to verify who he was. The professor should have done so, and thanked the officer for being so quick to protect his residence. But no. The professor had to dish out attitude, and he got what he deserved because of it.

Submission + - Internet Explorer Connection Issues

lunatic1969 writes: There are certain websites I have to access at work that simply require Internet Explorer, and there's no getting around it even with an agent switcher. That being said, I do use Firefox as often as possible but I've run into a problem... I'm using Internet Explorer 8 currently. This problem has been surfacing prior to IE8 as well. My home page is set for Google.com. Periodically, when opening up IE, it will stay 'Connecting....' forever. The top tab says 'Connecting...' the bottom says 'Connecting to site 74.125.45.99'. This typically is resolved by closing IE and restarting a few times until it decides to work. This really is beyond annoying as it can also occur when I'm trying to open another tab to do something, or when a website opens another window. I've completely reinstalled Internet Explorer, cleaned all history and caches, etc. Google really has given me no workable solution other than others apparently out there have the same problem. Help?
