I admire his works and his point of view, but I find a lot of the time he can be callously disrespectful and religiously athiest. I'm an athiest myself but I find his pushy nature to be a bit much soemtimes.

I feel the way he handles some questions and situations doesn't help his cause.

Yeah, they should have given you a very finite amount of VATS points, or allow you to earn them and have slow motion replays ONLY for critical hits.

VATS was OK, but it lacked all the features RPGs usually have, like special moves, weapon combos, or anything meaningful. The only remarkable feature in VATS, aside from the lovely slow motion gore fests was the chance to target the foe's gun, or even better, a grenade.

The AI in Fear 2 was terrible! Well, if it was good, I didn't notice because it was so god damned easy to play that it was more a case of "Hi, *slomo* bye." .. firefights were so short that if there was amazing AI under the hood, I completely missed it.

On the parts where I didn't use slowmo, again, nothing remarkable, and I'm not exactly an amazing FPS player either.

Aren't all IT related jobs like such?

1. Set your facebook/irc/whatever status to reflect your positive attitude towards your corporate masters.

2. Blog and upload photos on your various social accounts showing how dedicated you are to working over time and how you're doing it for the team dispite not getting paid!

I've been dying for something like this too, I have terrible eyes and cannot read small printed text easily anymore. Having a portable, Linux-enabled large screen that can read HTML/PDF with white-on-black text would be perfect.

My wife suggested Luscious Labia for the one after, but I think it might break their naming convention.

I agree with you. I've been using Ubuntu 8.10 and now 9.04 lately on my notebook (Thinkpad T61, 1.8ghz C2D, 4gb ram, Intel 965 gfx), I upgraded to the 9.04 repo sources in the hopes the crappy Intel xorg drivers would be fixed, but alas.

I find Firefox, with some flash, scrolling or resizing just completely slows my machine down, with XP and Vista this was much faster. I also tried Opera, which uses the QT engine IIRC, faster, but still irritating.

Other things that just annoy me about Gnome are the panels, there seems to be no way to do basic things like keeping the bars under windows, they seem to only exist in 'always on top' mode unless autohide is enabled, which I don't want. Even switching to a lower resolution will result in my applets randomly relocating themselves, even if the lower res is more than the length of my panel + applets.

I want to use Linux on my Thinkpad, I am starting to seriously love Gnome now, but the hardware / performance of Xorg just plain suck for me.
