I'm sorry but I seen nothing but bad coming from this. I'm not trying to be racist or anything but until the Muslim religion matures, this will just continue to endanger the Western democratic countries.

You will have to alway have troops in the country, which will breed resentment and have tones of occupation from the citizens. The extremists, which are already there, will just get stronger and exploit even more weak minded individuals as they are going to have the money to do so.

This will be the new oil, and so far it will rest in one country, which is far worse than the current situation we have with oil and OPEC.

We never blame the people, it's always pointed at Corporate America and the government. You as a people need to stand up though. You need to find the truth and educate yourself rather than watching Fox (Bush) News network, or many of the other lying, bull$hitting, anything to take over, media outlets. I understand and appreciate freedom of speech but the crap that goes on and is supported in the US by citizens boggles my mind! Media, corporations and special interest groups are able to change history and pollute it with their own agenda. The advertisements about black history is one prime example. Instead of stating how they have contributed and made advancements on inventions over time, which is fantastic, they flat out stated they were invented by them. That's flat out wrong and distorts history. M$ Encarta was the same, different history depending on whether it was for US or global use. It's no different than the Communist's and in my opinion much worse because it's about money and power for the corporations. This is off topic, but ask yourself why the US and Britain are the only countries in the world where diesel is more expensive then gasoline? It isn't the taxes and it isn't the demand. Diesel is a waste by-product of refining gasoline and since the US has about 5% of their vehicles running diesel, compared to 60% in Europe, it should be half the price in the US. I've ranted enough....

It is BS. They don't like our tarrif based system for music. Buy a blank CD and a portion of it goes to the recording industry. They want us to adopt their laws so they can start the lawsuits the RIAA and MPAA are so famous for. Sorry, we will fight it tooth and nail. Our privacy, unlike the US, is paramount here. BTW, having friends and colleagues that live and work in China, they have told me countless times that companies, such as Micro$oft, encouraged piracy so the population will get hooked on the product and they can increase their market share. One of my friends actually worked for M$ and he confirmed it. That was 6 years ago, he has moved on since.

IBM Distributes USB Malware At Security Conference 73

bennyboy64 and other readers let us know that IBM sent out an email to all attendees to the Australian Computer Emergency Response Team (AusCERT) 2010 conference, warning them that some of the USB drives handed out to delegates contained malware. Fortunately it was old malware, which all anti-virus products have detected since 2008. Two years ago telecommunications company Telstra distributed malware-infected USB drives at the same conference.

US Air Force To Suffer From PS3 Update 349

tlhIngan writes "The US Air Force, having purchased PS3s for supercomputing research, is now the latest victim of Sony's removal of the Install Other OS feature. It turns out that while their PS3s don't need the firmware update, it will be impossible to replace PS3s that fail. PS3s with the Other OS feature are no longer produced since the Slim was introduced, so replacements will have to come from the existing stock of used PS3s. However, as most gamers have probably updated their PS3s, that used stock is no longer suitable for the USAF's research. In addition, smaller educational clusters using PS3s will share the same fate — unable to replace machines that die in their clusters." In related news, Sony has been hit with two more lawsuits over this issue.

An anonymous reader writes "After six months of our new accelerated development schedule, MythTV 0.23 is now available. MythTV 0.23 brings a new event system, brand new Python bindings, the beta MythNetvision Internet video plugin, new audio code and surround sound upmixer, several new themes (Arclight and Childish), a greatly improved H.264 decoder, and fixes for analog scanning, among many others. Work towards MythTV 0.24 is in full swing, and has be progressing very well for the last several months. If all goes according to plan, MythTV 0.24 will bring a new MythUI OSD, a nearly rewritten audio subsystem capable of handling 24- and 32-bit audio and up to 8 channels of output, Blu-ray disc and disc structure playback, and various other performance, usability, and flexibility improvements."

Hence my previous comment. Nokia is a European based corporation. Intel is a US based corporation. US Corporation = Greed. Hell look at Delphi, the CEO was going to the bankruptcy hearings in New York on the company's private just. Hey if I was going bankrupt and had to be in court to prove it, I would take the cheapest mode of transportation. Same this with Ford and it's exec. 2 weekly trips to his Florida home on the company's private jets for him AND his family. It's going to hell in the US!!!
