The same line they've trotted out with Windows 95 and every version since.

Would it kill them to get some new copy or are they just going to keep regurgitating the same crap every release and watch their OEM monopoly on new computer installs sell it without any effort whatsoever ?

Submission + - Incite a Non-riot on Facebook, Get 4 Years in Jail (bbc.co.uk)

wreakyhavoc writes: Two youths who were handed 4 year jail sentences for intention to cite people to riot in Northwich via Facebook will appeal.

"The men both pled guilty to encouraging crime in Northwich, although there were no outbreaks of disorder in the town. One man addmitted a charge of arranging an event on Facebook capable of encouraging offences including riot. There has been criticism of the men's sentences from MPs, barristers and campaigners, who have said the sentences were too severe. But Communities Secretary Eric Pickles has said "exemplary sentences" were necessary and that people needed to understand the consequences of rioting, looting and disorder."

Even though nothing happened, no crime, looting, violence, or destruction, no chanting, gang signs, or raised fists, they are to be incarcerated for four years. Talk about low hanging fruit. Prime Minister Cameron says he hopes the sentences will "send a message. The criminal justice system can, and should do that.

coondoggie writes: "The mythical "year of the Linux desktop" still hasn't come, and may never, but on the 20th anniversary of Linux the free operating system's proponents threw a party to celebrate its success and scoff at past attacks launched by Microsoft, its biggest rival. Linux Foundation Executive Director Jim Zemlin — known among Network World readers for saying that bashing Microsoft is "like kicking a puppy" — used his keynote at the LinuxCon conference in Vancouver to recount past slights from Microsoft and explain how wrong they were, one by one"
