Comment I want smaller high-res displays (Score 1) 952

Actually, looking at games like Crysis, I realize that in term of pixels, we reached a point where we don't actually need more pixels unless we want much bigger displays. Personally, I don't care much for resolutions like 4K x 2K, but I would really like to see full HD wearable displays like Vuzix Wrap 920 but with higher resolutions.

Is there anywhere else where this kind of law would apply, even if you have to enforce it with a class action suit?

Now they DID remove a feature that is was first advertised to have, making it LESS than it was when I first purchased it so removing value. To make an analogy, it would be like my car dealer removing my airbags saying there was a security risk, but not replacing it with an equivalent feature and not wanting to give me money back saying I never used the feature ...

No I currently don't use the feature on my old phat PS3, but if I ever buy another console (the slim or a PS4 when it is released), I always considered I could use it as a HTPC ... I don't like throwing away electronics, I always try to find 2nd lives for them.

From my school experience, something similar is already happening. Most of us, geeks of all kinds, have been forced to do team assignments with less than qualified people; we had the choice of either working twice as hard to get the grade WE deserve or do our fair part and end-up with the grade THEY deserve. In the end, most of us chose the first path and were not even paid for it :-/.

There are probably very good reasons to have an AOL address and it can even be a good interview question to ask; if your IT staff is based on "coolness" factor of any given technology, your are in for a nice ride.

However, as someone else already posted, the actual account name is much more important IMO as it can give an general idea of the person's personality and attention to his public image; RockCock, BongKing, KegMaster, ... you know you are dealing with someone who's mind never really grew up after their 20th birthday. Not that this is necessarily bad, but not all jobs are fit for the "young at heart".

I would be curious to try that as the therapy might require to play games :P. Maybe I could get my insurance company to pay for the Nvidia 3D glasses thing!

My brain IS medically incapable of 3D. I suffer from a condition called amblyopia and therefore can rarely percieve any 3D effect no matter the technology; to be honnest I probably don't see the real world in 3D either. However, for some reason, I have rather good depth perception, probably adapted over the years since I suffer from amblyopia since I was born. So I'm also part of the group that is totally indifferent to all this 3D hype beside the fact that I fear overall image quality might go down because people will put effort in the 3D.

IMO, discrete mathematics is probably the best "generic" choice as it is mostly geared toward logic. However, if you want to do 3D work or work with algorithms, you should take "analysis" because the match concepts will be more advanced. In the end, I think the math class that was the most useful in every day work is neither, it's statistics, but that is another story :).

I think you pointed-out the real problem. The telcos want you to pay for the 70Mbps line, but don't want you to use it. If you cannot support a users doing 70Mbps, don't sell 70Mbps. I know that building an infrastructure based on the assumption that all users will use maximum bandwidth would be costly, but then adapt your marketting practices; sell lower sustained speed and put a "speed on demand" service that is easy to use so when you want/need to download the new 8GB PS3 game you can play before the next week. Otherwise you can always have a maximum sustained bandwidth based on high/low period of the day, but this needs to be clear.
