Comment To many new versions (Score 1) 405

I think a problem windows is having is they have to many versions. No one in the business word wants to upgrade to Vista and then to windows 7 and then in a year need to upgrade everything to windows 8 and in another year to windows 9 and so on, possibly loosing compatibility along the way and certainly making more work for themselves having to answer user questions on how to do things on the new system. They really need a slow moving Cooperate Windows they can put out and say, this is the next 10 year upgrade. A Home Windows that can change more rapidly and a mobile Windows that no one will still care about.

If you took all the effort and energy spent, developing green energies, clean coal, fracking. Couple that with all the energy spent fighting each of them for what ever reason. Just think how safe and efficient 2020 nuclear power plants could be. A new nuclear plant hasn't been built in the US since what the 80's. Thats 30 YEARS. Just think of the improvements and innovations we could make or had made had we pursued it. If you really think that global warming is the end of days, then how can you not embrace nuclear? Its like vegetarians who believe in evolution. It just doesn't make since.

I just remember back in the day how hard it was to POP3 Hotmail. So I never used it. I have several GMAIL accounts for several years, that I use fetchmail on and then host on a private IMAP server. But to be honest i can't remember the last time I received or sent ligitament email to a hotmail address.

Agreed. Up till late Blackberry was the go to phone for corporations. Every business exec had a blackberry. But due to poor management and decisions and failure to keep up with larger screens, apps, enjoyable internet surfing, etc they have drastically lost the corp market.I know of a great many large companies and cities that make up huge contracts that have dropped their long time Blackberry phones for the Iphone/Android within the last year. This IMHO is the final nail because they will never switch back. They are just too far behind, and from what I have seen ob BB10, it won't ever catch up...

By reading your post I see you know nothing about law or proper police procedure. A stop or "Terry Stop" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terry_stop requires reasonable suspension to a trained officer, that a crime is/has or is about to be committed and does not allow for a search of a person without further circumstances such as a weapons frisk "which is not a search", etc. A search warrant requires probable cause http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Probable_cause, which is a much higher standard and is the same standard which is required to make an arrest "which is very different than being detained or stopped". Here an officer much show evidence or cause to a judge or magistrate who in turn issues a search/arrest warrant. You really should read up on it, so you know your rights and don't sound like and idiot when you are screaming at the cops.

You are missing the fact that they already have mobile licenses plate scanners all over the country in police cars, as well as stoplight and speeding cameras, and automated toll booths cameras. I haven't heard all that much about profiling from them. Though I don't agree with speeding and stop light camera.
