The whole point of autopilot *IS* to let the driver be distracted. It is to let the driver be on his phone. If it crashed while on autopilot, that's a fault in the autopilot system. Blaming the driver on being distracted misses the whole point of automated vehicles in the first place.

It was obviously not meant to imply that Modi had anything do with drinking elephant feces juices. That was for comedy to lighten the mood. You can't focus on an obvious joke and ignore the rest of the his points. That is what intellectual dishonesty looks like.

Monty Python had a bit where a director insisted on using Marilyn Monroe to star in his new movie. The interviewer points out that Marilyn Monroe died. Then he says she will be in every shot, lying on the couch and so on. Then the interviewer points out she was cremated. The director fudges again and said they will use a body double for the more physical shots, but that she will be always be on-screen falling out of cupboards and so on.

They make management increasingly look irrelevant. With a shorter week, workers are on task more of the time, which alleviates the need for supervisors to monitor downtime. Departments are more focused on end goals which reduces the need for middle management. Employees in general feel more empowered to make decisions because there is less time to go through channels which reduces the need for input from upper management.
This is why management always calls these experiments failures.

Doing up in the air, fingers up, and perhaps accompanied by a smile or wink is just saying "OK".
Doing it down low, fingers pointed down, and looking like black people just peed in your cereal is "alt-right".
Robots don't need to breathe like those dirty carbon producing humans.
We'll just fire all the humans and replace them with robots.
Aren't you glad we are such a conscientious company?
