Cheaters just want an unfair advantage. When everyone else is cheating, you lost your advantage. To make it worse, if everyone is invincible, nobody wins. Eventually they'll get frustrated and know why non-cheaters hate their guts and lost interest in the online game because of cheaters. It's perfect, non-cheaters get to play with non-cheaters and cheaters get to play with cheaters. They should love it unless deep down inside they hate people like themselves.

Very nice!! I was thinking of something like that for drawing out the cheaters. Does anyone use this? If not, they should.

Oh ya, another issue. It is often too expensive or too much of a bother for utilities to send someone out to check for fraud on just a suspicion. And they may want police with them in case of altercations. I think a lot of this stuff gets overlooked intentionally at times.

Too much of a bother? Recently, 10 minutes from where I lived, the police discovered huge pot farms in houses dedicated to growing weed. The home owners bypassed the meter so that they wouldn't notice the huge power usage, but I guess they noticed the "lack of usage".

No, they're not. Most everyone I know has a CRT (usually a TV). I don't think CRTs are sold any more, but it was only a few years ago they were commonplace in stores while newer displays were expensive, and CRTs last a LONG time

I agree. I still have my Panasonic HDTV from 2002, and it still looks better than most LCD televisions I have seen.

Another place that you would see a CRT would be ATMs. They're far from gone.

If it's a thread to every major economic player, then in terms of competition, it levels the playing field, right? Somehow it sounds to me as if we just go forward in playing the big final game despite the fact that both teams went down with fever and cough, diarrhoe and headaches. But because the final game is so important for the season, we call the people warning about the teams being sick "infection alarmists".

Additional problems are caused by other countries trying to build up their industries to catch up to the already industrialized countries. If we are already at the limit of what the planet can handle, then it implies that some countries will have to reduce emissions so that other countries can increase their emissions.

Since this probably means less money for the wealthy, they will do everything they can to prevent scaling back, ie: "It's not hurting the planet/This will cause economic disaster/etc". Unless someone figures out a way to take the political clout of the wealthy elite, then we're screwed.

There's a lot of book players who wonder how they lost when they reached a book position that was supposed to be in their favor! It's not that simple. Yes, they do try to find weaknesses in their opponent's opening repertoire, but both sides are doing the same thing, and are aware of the fact that the other side is looking for weaknesses. Sometimes they'll add something completely different to throw off their opponents work. Sometimes they'll get the advantage because of a novelty they worked out ahead of time, and their opponent still manages to get a draw, and now they can work out whether they can come up with an answer to the new move.

Their preparation doesn't negate their opponent's skill. It's still an over the board battle.

Computer chess algorithms are extremely inefficient if not impossible for a human to use, not unless you have a lot of pen and paper to keep track of your billions of calculations, but using notes is cheating and besides, your clock would run out. Strong human players use algorithms that are not easily translated into computer code. Sometimes(maybe a lot of times) there might be flaws in their calculations, but unless they are playing against a high end chess program/system, nobody will notice the mistake.

I never understood why people get so upset about their phone getting a little bigger. If it still fits in your pocket, who cares? If it's too unwieldy, trying exercising with ipads, maybe some curls or bench presses. Eventually that HD smartphone won't seem so heavy.

While shopping at the mall, I stop at a kiosk, they look at my phone for 2 seconds, and show me the choice of batteries I can use, either same capacity or higher, of course I go for higher. Later, I switch batteries and charge, done!

Are you telling me that the process is quicker with an iphone? It's certainly not more convenient! Or are iphones perfect and never need a battery replacement? If the capacity of the battery drops before the 2 year contract, I'm not buying another phone to replace the battery.

Every one of these "law enforcement" officials should get a swift kick in the ass and their priorities straightened out.
