The linux Kernel is (was?) 8 spaces. The idea between 8 space tabs is that if your code is indented so far as to be a pain to read, then you should probably look into why it's so nested.

I love it, I cycle 10k each way, with mostly downhill to work, and mostly uphill home. Works nicely, I don't show up too sweaty to work.

Agreed, it may not be quality conversation, but it's nice to know when they're doing well, or if they're unhappy. If all is well, fine, if something is wrong, I can phone/etc

I grew up about 6.5hrs northwest of edmonton, I think my winters compared just fine with winterpeg. Edmonton never even reached -40 in the 5 years I lived there, so no, it doesn't get that cold, just colder than TO ;)

I go back that far, but I run a NWN persistent world. It was the multiplayer and community content (ya buzzword, but it's true) that made NWN amazing.
