Journal Journal: A new method of music distribution 4

This is a system of music distribution and government funding that, in my opinion, could create a new artistic society, perhaps a complete rebirth of the arts as we know them, similar to the Renaissance (Okay, maybe I'm giving myself too much credit).

Journal Journal: Why so much destruction? (The Big Flood...) 3

Well its time for one of the largest history altering events of all time. An event that is largely remembered in cultures around the world. An event that, like the creation, is very contraversial. Creation has its "alt.origions.talk" but don't know where a simular discussion is happening over the flood. Just bits and pieces of sporadic discussion of believers surmounting hurdles, people who want to believe but can't get past certain hurdles, and those throwing up those hurdles as fast as they

Nephtillum, tsohar, arc, and ben'elohiym. There have been a few discussions break out on these terms already in this discussions on Genesis series. I find them as curious as any nouns found in the Old Testament.

What makes them have power is their ability to be tangible forms of intangible interactions in our lives, especially those that choose to keep themselves from the wickedness of the world. Its no wonder why Genesis is probably the most enduring story we have today.

Journal Journal: Generations of Adam, Gen ch 5: 4

Its not easy figuring out something interesting to say about the long geneologies in the Bible. But for this one I didn't have to, theres a few things that jumped out at me.

Why is Eve talking to snakes? I mean, Adam might have been suspicous of what the fruit did when Eve came up to him with two pieces (one bitten) of forbidden fruit and announced she had been talking to snakes.

Journal Journal: Discussions in Genesis: Chapter 2, The Creation take 2 17

So much attention is placed on Genesis chapter one that it comes as a shock that chapter 2 is so overlooked. Here we have another creation account, and a brief description of the earth in its state before the fall of Adam.

I've heard it said that the book of Genesis is broken up into various parts, galled the "generations" of this or that. Here we start with the first of these sections, the "generations of the heavens and of the earth".

Journal Journal: Discussions in Genesis: Chapter 1, Take 1 36

I've been wanting to start this ever since I saw the Bill Moyer special called "Genesis a Living Conversation".

As Worf would say "Its a good day to die", but here its a good day to begin to die. You may be excited about a discussion in Genesis as a text that you as a Muslim, Jew or Christian were told stories from since as long as you can remember. You may be excited about material so familiar that almost no one in western or mid-eastern society is innocent of it.
