It seems to me they decided that the user has too much freedom with Maemo and MeeGo, so they instead picked WP7 so the consumer remains a consumer where they can be forced upon, app stores and such.

I really hope that Nokia continue to work to Marmo/MeeGo in the background as a more long-term proposition. To but all of their Smartphone-shaped eggs in the WP7 basket would be folly, IMHO. Other manufacturers such as Samsung are offering at least two OSes - they are shipping handsets running Android and Bada OS. HTC's handsets will ship with virtually any OS at all. Sony Ericsson have toyed with Windows Mobile, but mostly use Symbian, but I think they are going to go much more with Android now.

There really is no excuse for this at all. We're all entitled to a fair trial and the best legal defense available to us. This signifies that Paypal doesn't support the constitution or the rule of law. Shameful.

Looks like PayPal have had a missive change of heart and reinstated fully.

Courage to Resist's PayPal account now says "Your Account Access is Back in Regular Standing. Thank you for taking the steps to return your account to regular standing..." What, you mean complain loudly and publicly about what a bunch of idiots PayPal are on your own website, resulting in multiple other PayPal customers contacting them and signing an online petition to get the account reinstated properly?

My short-term memory is way below average - I can't even recall what Century it is in the mornings...

On my server the BIOS battery is dead for the last one or two years... ...Next reboot for that server is probably never going to happen - it will run until it dies and/or is replaced. Most likely destination is the scrap heap. Heck, it only had a handful of reboots in the last 7 years of operation...

Or you could just replace the battery for the BIOS the next time you have to bring the system down? Then you can reflash the BIOS when it comes back up again and run it on for another 2 or 3 years quite happily...
