I find the opposite to be more true. It's usually the Liberals who call the Conservative anti-LGBT folks groomers. The term is meant to portray the individual as not with the times... Old even. Conservatives like to be stuck in the past. Conserve the old ways so to speak.

The truth is, people are generally fed up with listening to the victim mentality perpetuated by the woke community. The movie industry has long had a close relationship with the woke. Those who follow this victimhood mantra tend not to be the best writers/directors etc... As a result, when people find out that the director has deviated from the original story with a woke concept, it tends to turn people off of the movie/series. Not because they are racist or whatever, more it's just because they feel it will probably be of poor quality from past experiences.
