As I posted higher up in the thread, I bought this one and it does a bang up job of converting hdmi output (at 1080i) into component video for my old projection television. It might very well be illegal, but it works great.

I was able to buy an hdmi to component converter on Amazon for $40 and it works like a charm!

It is no big deal. At worst, someone might get in trouble for having unauthorized access to the router, but I'll bet it had never had its default password changed and anyone could have done it. I take all my days every year, and I've got 28 PTO days per year on top of the usual holidays. Yes, I work in the US for a major corporation, but not to take your vacation days is ripping yourself off.
