If you look back through history you find out that the greatest threat is from our the leaders. Which is pretty much the point of the constitution.

Turning a server name into a way to store information about the server is problematic. Hardware, location, role etc should all be recorded independently of the name in a rdbms which everyone who needs it has access.
The truth is that politicians on any side don't (and never have) work for you. They work for the people who pay them. They are pimps who sell their constituents favours.
