The ship is sinking. The smart guys are leaving now, before it gets really bad.

As soon as they started deleting or hiding tweets, posts, etc, they became publishers.

It's already being done. Twitter, YouTube, etc already hide "objectional" or "conspiracy" content. YouTube also de-monetizes anyone who says the wrong things.

The internet was a lot of fun, guys. Sadly, it's been taken over and you will only be allowed to view government-approved content in the future.

Implementing the vacations/more sick days/ etc would negatively affect stock values for shareholders. This is actually illegal for a corporation to do in the US, without providing concrete facts stating that it would lead to higher yields (good luck with that).

It's hard to believe one person could completely shut down a company like this. I'm hoping the judge isn't some 75 year old who doesn't even know how to turn on a computer.

Reddit got the investment, and now any post that gets too popular and is negative about the Chinese government gets removed from /r/all and /r/popular. It was proven quite quickly because several BIG posts about Tianamen Square were removed that day. Basically, reddit has become an arm of the Chinese propaganda department.

How will CNN and MSNBC get around this ban?

I fully expect all of our power supply plants to be shut down (or worse), as they have already admitted multiple times that they are extremely vulnerable to computer attacks. Maybe an enemy country will do it. Maybe some insane hackers or religious extremists will do it. Either way, it will result in mass chaos, after which, the State will clamp down even harder on personal freedoms.

Is there a way to know if I'm affected by the breach? I'm assuming I am, as I use Yahoo Mail.

Don't. Just leave. Or better yet, "train" him to royally screw up.
