Submission + - Ask Slashdot: Can we abstract all Slashdot posts?

highphilosopher writes: It strikes me that almost all slashdot posts could be abstracted down to their basic types. I see a lot of "I've been doing this for so long that" posts, and plenty of "Company XYZ's product is so superior/inferior" posts. Perhaps if we had a way to setup basic abstract posts that could magically fill in tags from the story, it would save us all a lot of time.

Submission + - National Research Council finds fault with Obama NASA asteroid exploration goal (examiner.com)

MarkWhittington writes: "The National Research Council issued a report on Dec. 5, 2012 that concludes that a national disagreement over NASA space goals has proven detrimental to the space agency budgeting and planning efforts. The report called into question President Obama’s stated goal of sending NASA astronauts to an asteroid by 2025, which has not garnered any support."

Never trust any organization with the word Tax in their name.

Either way, as a not-in-the-top-quintile person, I'd rather your didn't tax them more. Let's try leveling the playing field alittle bit. Here's a thought. Instead of spreading the wealth around, let's spread the tax burden around.

The only reason politicians want to tax the rich is that it's a smaller portion of their base. If they raised taxes on the middle and lower classes, we'd put them out of office.

I'll pick this one up.

1. Grinding is an important part of sex (aka the long part) --- 2 puns in one on a monday no less...

2. Winning State. You're having sex. You're already in a winning state (barring extreme situations i.e. forced etc)

3. MMO's (Massively Multiplayer Orgies) ARE a game. You CAN win. Hell, you've MOSTLY already won just by showing up.
