LOL, I've been with MORE WOMEN than you'll see in your ENTIRE LIFETIME...

Well, if "been with" includes slobbering over a stolen copy of Playboy in your mom's basement, I'll concede that point. Otherwise, it's quite obvious that you're afraid of women, especially the evil nurses who want to tighten your restrainers. NEWS FOR YOU: In real life, women don't stick together because you've cum on the page.

LMAO, I know better: I've been coming here since 2004 regularly, & before that (on/off) for another 2-3 yrs...

I've been a regular since the turn of the millennium. Your incoherent ramblings make the classic GNAA page-widenings posts look good.

They're good people with a solid foundation in computing... unlike YOU, & "yours" here, lol!

Now that is comedy gold, right there. :-D You have no idea who I am or what I do, do you?

NEWS: That doesn't "get to me", but I will tell you, what might - IF ANY ONE OF YOU EVER "GETS THE BEST OF ME" technically... thing is though, lol, for nearly 6++ yrs. now?? Not a single /.-er EVER has, or ever will I suspect (based on that trackrecord of mine)).

The lesson we take away from this is: Don't eat Teflon, kids. It'll rot your brain and nothing will stick to it.

And, I feel good because my taxes don't pay for your medications. Which would be a total waste since you're obviously selling them on the black market instead of taking them yourself. I can only imagine what you do with the money, though. Buy replacement Real Dolls after puncturing the old ones with your prostethic toothpick dick?

So what if half of Slashdot take turns trolling you as AC? Do you really belive anyone gives a shit, except for your baboon mom when she gave birth to you at the zoo after all those illegal experiments?

The #1 reason people upgrade is not because the old software was buggy or ran too slow, quite the opposite. Instead, the vendors keep changing the file formats to force upgrades. How is that an obsessive-compulsive problem with customers? Is it an obsession, wanting to be able to actually read the files that people send you? Perhaps being a control-freak dictating what everybody else is using is a lesser evil?

Rough analysis (could be wrong):

The Betty Boop character is a Fleischer trademark.

But—Betty Boop 1930s movie posters were not copyrighted (or not renewed?) as standalone items, so are public domain.
Fleischer tried to use its active trademark on the character to stop a third party’s use of the ancient PD art. Judge said this was a no-go.

What I take from the judge’s ruling is that the trademark only applies to new, modern uses of the character. It can’t be used to stop people from redistributing old PD Betty images/items. Fleischer tried to say trademark trumped copyright; the judge is saying that it doesn’t.

This is actually pretty major. In recent years, Warner has used the active trademarks on Looney Tunes characters to quash third parties’ reissues of PD 1930s/40s Looney Tunes content (of which there is a lot). If the Betty decision is not reversed on appeal, then Warner is stripped of its strongest weapon against the public domain.
It can use the trademark against those who would create new Bugs Bunny items, but not against those who would exploit old PD material that Warner failed to protect.

The issue of whether Paramount legitimately sold the active Betty trademark to Harvey appears to be entirely separate, though very interesting.

OTOH, Nokia's future looks rather bleak. Instead of making a range of 'me too' Android devices, they'll try for a range of 'me too' Win P7 devices, a smaller market. Although Win P7 is positioned in a more upscale range than Symbian, the increase in income per device is probably offset by higher development costs and smaller manufacturing runs, something that going with Android could have alleviated. Android has the ability to drive both low-end and high-end devices, phones as well as cars, tablets and netbooks. Neither Symbian nor Win 7P can do all that and MeeGo is dead in the water. Nokia tries to spin it like they are the only Win 7P maker, that this will help them differentiate from the Android crowd. They are not. They try to spin it like they're only doing this so they can get MeeGo to the market. They won't.

However, I predict that Microsoft will cut their losses when they realize they can never be better than fourth place and dump Windows Phone just like they dumped the Kin. This will leave Nokia hanging in the wind, because they will not have MeeGo ready by then, no ecosystem, no developers, no nothing. The business users will go with Blackberry and iOS first, Win 7 a distant second - all the others will go with iOS or Android. There is no room for MeeGo, which is kind of sad as I personally quite like the idea. And, like I said, being fourth is not the Microsoft Way.

I was going to call you out for being a complete and utter bastard, but I suddenly just feel really sorry for you. Is this what you endure instead of a rich and meanginful life? Sitting alone in front of a keyboard trying to come up with ways to hurt another human being that you have probably never even met? If that somehow makes you feel better, I can't even begin to imagine how bad you must feel without it.

I am not a religious person, but for you I'll make a Pascal exception and pray that you either get well soon, or at the very least remember to fill in an organ donor card before you bring an end to your sad existence. Good luck, whatever your choice may be.
