It will be the same in Lion. Unless the apps are rewritten to support these features they won't work. It doesn't just happen magically.
Apple will likely require developers to implement them.
Apple is a very safe platform, but the safest software in the world can't protect against Stupid.
Apple's whole stance for the last ten years has been that 'Stupid' was not a problem on their platform. They've been telling everyone that their products are idiot-proof.
The reason might be that consumers claim they want matte screens but they go and buy glossy screens. Manufacturers are probably substantially less interested in what these surveys say than what their sales numbers say.
The problem is that most consumers aren't given a choice.
I find some Macbook Pros to be uncomfortable to use on my lap because they get so hot.
Not only that, but the edge where you rest your wrists is very sharp on those Macbook Pros. It makes typing almost unbearable. Call me crazy, but I don't like sharp objects near my wrists.
In this economy, it's going to be very hard for people to rationalize plopping down $500 or $600 for a new console.
I know a certain company seems to be doing very well selling their iProducts around those prices.
Right now, on newegg, im only seeing USB3.0 on highend multi-hundred-dollar motherboards, so it seems to be a wash in that regard.
