I have never tried to go to a flash heavy website from any mobile phone. I have a feeling it might be a bigger issue on the iPad, with its larger screen.

How would anyone ever find out?

Except that I never heard anyone say otherwise, Apple Fanboy or not. I heard some say they didn't care about it, and that it wasn't a deal breaker, but I never heard anyone say that multitasking was not a good thing. There are plenty of things to hate, in or out of Apple, without making shit up.

Sure, I just felt nitpicky today. However, this one is not a nit, you're arguing about laws saying what retailers can/can't sell, but the laws you mention apply to manufacturers. I'm not sure, beyond health and safety laws, that we do have any laws about what a retailer must or must not carry. I'm also not sure that retail is the appropriate comparison for the app store. Not saying it isn't, just not certain that it is.

They repealed (at least US, I'm assuming here) the flame retardent pajama law several years ago.

A Mac user asked, seriously as far as I can tell, if his Mac's preview software is as vulnerable as Acrobat, and you accuse him of smugness. Why do the Mac haters have to automatically make assumptions about Mac users? This guy actually came about it without smugness, and yet you belittle him for it. You are infinitely more the elitist than the most hardcore of Mac fanboys, and you don't even realize it.

The main problem with Windows Mobile has always been that MS tried to shoehorn every feature they could think of into it. What they wound up with was an OS that could do almost anything you could want from the phone factor, but did almost nothing well. This is why devices like the Blackberry have always done so well, because sometimes a specialized device is just better for its intended purpose. The iPad is such a specialized device. I am not convinced yet that it is better for its purpose than a netbook, but I suspect that for a certain large audiance it will be.

If you need someone to give one of those 5 ipads to, let me know. I'm not quite impressed enough by them to spend money on, but I do like them. I am hoping to see a more capable device for version 2, maybe something that with I/O devices and the ability to run OSX apps.

repeat after me: Mozilla is not Apple. The issue here is that Mozilla has chosen to drop Apple support, not Apple. Mozilla is free to do so. Apple is still supporting 10.4.
