Most likely they're not lying. It's not built for advertising. The fact that they will be able to use it for advertising is just incidental. Personally I will not buy a Kinect. If they want to try to sell me a Xbone without a Kinect there may be a chance of me buying it shortly before hell freezes over.

With all the small gov't Tea Party blather out there it's nice for Americans to be reminded that gov't is a tool, and one they depend on. I for one don't want to see EPA regulation, anti-slavery and usury laws, OSHA Safety and FDA regulations go away.

Maybe if the shutdown goes on long enough people will start to miss government. But I doubt in the short term that a small number of websites used by a small number of people is going to have any impact on how people view government. In fact the more people will probably think something like "the government shut down and everything is just fine why do we need so much government".

Jonathan Blow is considered the father of the current indie game craze after the success of Braid. Having played Braid it's quite good. The Witness is a 3D rendered game Myst wasn't much more than a cleaver series of pictures. The art style and basic game play concept are both inspired by Myst. I've actually had several friends say "this looks like Myst" when I've sent them some screenshots and the trailer. Did you even watch the PS4 trailer? It will be released on PS4/PC/iOS simultaneously with the possibility for other consoles coming later. Lastly the PS3/360 are almost 8 years old it really isn't that much of a stretch to say that mobile devices outperform them.

Sorry I didn't make this very clear. What I was saying was neural networks are designed to learn just like humans. So they learn just a generally as humans. Language is just the most logical place to start teaching robots for numerous reasons.

That is exactly what neural networks are attempting to do. It's just the first thing we're teaching these neural networks to understand is us, specifically language/writing. Which when you think about it is the most logical place to start. Humans have already been organizing information into writing for a millennium computers are already hooked up to the biggest archive in history (the internet). There's a lot of useful information for computers to start learning with and its probably the easiest way for us to learn how best to make them learn.

It gets a bit louder not to the point that it's too bothersome. My mobo is a GIGABYTE GA-Z77X-UD5H all I did to it when I built my system is upgraded the firmware and configure boot options. Thanks for the tip on the the cooler I was considering the Noctua NH-D14 which is a bit more pricey but if it keeps my chip from frying it'll be worth it.

I'm testing it right now and I'm getting 98C as my max which is a bit more than I'm comfortable with. I think I may have seen it a bit higher before. This is the first rig I've put together by myself so it's possible I may have done something wrong. I've heard that the 3770 runs hot that's why I bring it up.
