w1z4rd writes: "A columnist for one of South Africa's largest newspaper recently had this to say about the blogosphere,

"Name and shame them", says Sunday Times writer David Bullard, "of the more nefarious and less intelligent citizens of the ever-expanding blogosphere" — "the sort of wackos who gun down their fellow students at university", and "Seventy million blogs are registered worldwide, and that's 70-million people who "desperately want to be columnists", he wrote in this week's column — if only it weren't for the lack of quality."

The backlash from the South African blogosphere has been pretty loud, with multiple newspapers now also running the story. I am not to sure David Bullard understands all the aspects of social networking"

Submission + - Transportation Security Administration loses hard

w1z4rd writes: "The Transportation Security Administration (TSA), often regarded as the cornerstone of the United States' homeland security, has lost a hard drive containing information of over 100,000 people.

The hard drive contained data from personnel who were employed by TSA as far back as 2002. The administration has teamed up with the FBI to recover the data."
