How the ways in which you are wrong. I don't even know how to begin listing them. But I will say that the "loophole" is there to protect fundamental rights, but clearly, you're a content creator in some form, and as such, so biased and misguided, that you would happily see those rights revoke/subverted just to further your goals. Now get back in the tub beast.

I was going to post a witty insult possibly indicating that you have no social/sex life and attempt to gain status of your own importance by buying anything with a brand logo on it,
then I would question your sexuality/intellect in some snappy manner which is both hilarious and also manages to remain the safe side of the politically correct barrier, thus avoiding any down modding.
I would probably then make a few logical statements pointing out the inate error of your views before rounding up with either a killer blow meme or maybe a jab at how small your man hood is but to be perfectly honest, I can't be arsed, so I'll simply close by saying that you sir can eat a dick pavlova.

It wouldn't give Mandelson any power, as he's not an elected member of parliament, he cannot enact or enforce any law.
He's been forced to resign once and fired for fraud. After that he was effectively banned from standing as a member of parliament. As such, he was given a job in europe. But Brown being a corrupt douche wanted him back, and so gave him the lordship and hence a seat in the House of Lords. That enabled brown to hire him as business secretary, but he still has no power, merely taking an advisery role.
He still has influence and as such is still a danger and a threat to the peoples of this nation, but legally, he has no power.

As for the bill. I wouldn't worry too much. Parliament is out for xmas and will be back late jan early feb, after which the conservatives and lib dems are going to use every opportunity to show up labour. This bill would be a nice bit of ammo, thats if it even gets read. Rumour is that the gov is going to call an early election, march, april time. The moment the election is called, parliament is dissolved and the nation goes into a state of purdah, meaning nothing happens. No laws get passed, changed, everything stays as is til the election is won.
And because this proposal is a labour one, when the cons win (and they will), they're never going to be seen stealing a labour policy, because thats exactly what labour have been doing to the cons since Blair was first elected.

As for phone number. I always use the phone number for the parents of this kid that used to bully me when I was a kid. He's apparently since moved out, but I figure they deserve continued punishment for raising a little bastage. :)

I wonder how long it will be until /. users realise that online storage for information is the way to go... That'll happen around the time that online storage becomes more useful in all scenarios than physical and movable, self controllable storage. In short, not now, and from the looks of it, not for a long time.
