I know exactly why Cisco did it, so they could remotely administer routers for "average users". That's not necessarily a terrible thing.
But why do they need browsing history?
Also I think facebook really helped reduce chain emails (and forwarded jokes) since all the stupid people just go to facebook and share and leave me alone.
It's really really unfortunate that you used MBA as an example.
I imagine no worse than peeling a roll of sticky tape... will they ban these evil inventions as well?
Only if you can peel it in vacuum, you can't get x-rays from peeling tape in atmosphere.
Even if they loose they can cause mayhem at a competitor in the 2 years that it takes to litigate.
I don't understand, what are they loosing?
does the operating system matter? (or is it just assumed that you want windows)
I don't understand why Siri has to use the cloud for speech to text. I had a samsung phone 6 years ago that could do this on the device itself with. I understand if the text part (after it's been converted) needs to be sent for analysis but the device certainly has enough processing speed to understand speech without a network...
I'm sure I'm missing something.
When I'm driving is when I really want to use Siri so I don't have to look at my phone and that it when it fails most (I'm not always on 3G areas).
why should one conform to capitalization rules made up by some anonymous guy after the printing press was invented just because he didn't like how lowercase letters looked printed. i don't.
actually it's infinity percent markup since SMS costs telcos nothing at all...
nah, just smoke and mirrors...
Oh, I thought it was van der Waals forces.
sounds like you want an iPhone. when an app calls for your location, you get a pop up window: [application] wants to use your current location. Don't Allow or OK
i though that if your friends enable apps, then your data is already accessible to the developers
