I've heard this particular argument a lot, funny thing is, I don't remember school being all that much of a social experience. In fact, I recall not being allowed to speak to other students at all for most of the day. . . Anyhow, (better) social experiences can be had elsewhere. We use the Boys and Girls club personally, but I can imagine that the YMCA, the local corner karate class, or the skate park down the street would be equally effective in instructing our youth in the swearing and witty comebacks required for a healthy social existance.
