Comment Twitter can be very useful. (Score 1) 460

With Guild Wars 2 on the horizon, I find myself extremely hyped up because GW 1 was way better than my first expectations were of it and has always been one of my favorite games. At work I found myself having trouble concentrating what with my allergies, pollen season, the very cold office (It's summer in Texas, I shouldn't have to have a coat!), and other problems, this just made it really hard to get work done.

Twitter gave me the option of getting instant text messages as soon as new information was released about the game, so I could scratch that off my list of worries.

Like any other tool it has its uses and shouldn't be used as a tool for everything.
fyi, I skipped breakfast this morning.

Actually it might be better. Imagine, if a show didn't have to worry about censorship, warning labels, or the esrb or any of the federal agencies that keep the airwaves "clean".
There might someday be a porno with an actual good plot.

Would be kinda naive of us to dismiss the idea that people would want to see that.

How about "only a sith deals in absolutes"?

but seriously, we heard "never attribute to malice what can adequately be explained by stupidity" record numbers of times over eight years. That statement doesn't hold any water anymore. It's an excuse to be as malicious as possible and to never be held accountable for anything you do, especially if it was intentional. After all, no matter what happens, you can always claim you're older and wiser AFTER THE FACT.
