Your post covers it. He was framing his father for the crime. Like hell he didnt know what he did was wrong and that death wasnt permanent.

If he had just shot his dad on a rampage I culd see a link to games but he killed his mother then shot his dad in the head and then put the gun in his dads hand. Not too many video games have the Frame another person component.

The Judge is a moron.

I am of 2 minds.
1. Right wing Scaremongering works. See- Iraq War, War on Drugs, Racism, Prop 8, The Great Border Wall, "Their gonna Take our GUNS!!", Putin rears his head, Commies!.
For some reason Left wing scare mongering doesnt work except maybe "think of the children" which is really over used by both sides. I am sure someone can figure this out for me.

2. Objective science exists. It just hard for the media and layperson to understand. Example from IPCC report which is chock full of- Increasing concentrations of the long-lived greenhouse gases (carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), nitrous oxide
(N2O), halocarbons and sulphur hexafluoride (SF6); hereinafter
LLGHGs) have led to a combined RF of +2.63 [±0.26] W m-2.
Their RF has a high level of scientific understanding. The 9%
increase in this RF since the TAR is the result of concentration
changes since 1998.- and i understand that but there is alot in that paper that I have to read with dictionary in hand.

Fact is most climate scientists are in agreement that the world is getting warmer. Most of those believe humankind is the reason(some vary on how big a reason). Being skeptical is good but ignoring evidence is bad.

EA Hit By Class-Action Suit Over Spore DRM 538

The ever-growing unrest caused by the DRM involved with EA's launch of Spore came to a head on Monday. A woman named Melissa Thomas filed a class-action lawsuit against EA for their inclusion of the SecuROM copy-protection software with Spore. This comes after protests of the game's DRM ranged from a bombardment of poor Amazon reviews to in-game designs decrying EA and its policies. Some of those policies were eased, but EA has also threatened to ban players for even discussing SecuROM on their forums. The court documents (PDF) allege: "What purchasers are not told is that, included in the purchase, installation, and operation of Spore is a second, undisclosed program. The name of the second program is SecuROM ... Consumers are given no control, rights, or options over SecuROM. ... Electronic Arts intentionally did not disclose to any such purchasers that the Spore game disk also possessed a second, hidden program which secretly installed to the command and control center of the computer."

Windows 7 Trades Email and Photo Apps For Downloadable Ones 496

arcticstoat writes "Microsoft has said that it plans to remove a lot of the standard apps from Windows 7 in order to make the new OS 'cleaner.' Among the apps for the chop are Windows Mail, Windows Photo Gallery and Windows Movie Maker, which will no longer be included with the operating system as standard. Instead, equivalent versions of the apps will be available from Microsoft's Windows Live download service as optional free downloads, much like the new BETA versions of the apps that Windows Live offers today." Meanwhile, jammag writes that "tech pundit Mike Elgan posits that the rushed-to-market Windows 7 — due in 2010, now being beta released this October — may in fact merely be Vista with new packaging.
