It won't be me, I use Mint, Ubuntu in green. No driver problems, but an occasional problem with getting second hard drives mounted. Fstab is a bit picky, here you must use a space, there you must have commas.
The most annoying problem I've had is a multiple file copy to a Mac reliably fails, every other file gets truncated. This happens with Nemo and Thunar, but doesn't seem to happen with Caja. Yes, I've set up machines with all three to play around.
In the course of all this I think I may prefer Mate. (gasp!)
Observation: open at the desktop ready to start something Cinnamon uses 1.8 GB of RAM, Mate 1.3 GB, Xfce 1.1 GB. MacOS 14.4 is at 1.9 GB app memory, 1.1 GB wired memory, so 3 total.
