As long as you don't install a (non-notary-checked/non-SSL) browser patch over the compromised network then you should be fine.
How do you prevent this with the rise of silent/background patching of the browsers, like chrome does? (And I think I read somewhere that firefox does it too for minor patches, but don't quote me on that)
... If the game gets hard in a place, I have nothing against cheating. I can't stand endless grinding in single player RPGs
How about some new items from the Diablo 3 store to help you out on your quest during the hard parts?
And before someone starts ranting, you will be able to buy items for ingame gold too.
it seems that most of what they are doing is related to trying to keep a truly secure, cheat-free economy in Diablo III
Could someone explain how a SINGLE player game would affect the economy of the ONLINE game?
From what I understand, they plan to have us use the same characters in both single and multi play.
Players will require a Battle.net connection even to play single player.
Can you provide a link to somewhere where it says that they'll do it any differently than in Starcraft 2? (Where you can play the singleplayer without internet)
The only people I've met who dislike Steam are people who haven't used it or haven't used it in the past four or five years.
Then I guess you haven't met people who had a sudden Internet disconnection and couldn't get online to enable offline mode.
Well, my steam will pop up with This if I try to start it up without internet.
Why the hell is Chrome underlining enquiry as being misspelt? Argh, 'misspelt' too! FFS! You'd think for a global company which has properly localised versions of all their other products and websites, that Google could put an option for Commonwealth/International English into Chrome, rather than assuming everyone uses US English. Worse than bloody Microsoft!
You need to look harder... I'm currently using "English (United Kingdom)" and have been for quite a while.
My workaround is to middle-click on the comment headline to expand it AND open it in another tab. That doesn't collapse the rest of the thread in the current window. Then every minute or two I hit Ctrl-W 50 times to clean up.
Chrome has a nice feature to help you there... "Close tabs to the right" or just "close other tabs"
About as likely to be a nuclear explosion as if they'd dropped a volkswagon...
I'd put my money on the volkswagen
Like you said, for swordfighting, the one-to-one motion is key. If swinging the controller is just a trigger for a predetermined swing, it accomplishes nothing more than could be done by pushing a button, and they've missed the point. Wii Sport Resort swordplay is very close, but I don't think it's been done in a "real" game yet.
Does the gladiator game in Sports Champions qualify as a "real" game? Because it does one-to-one motion, as far as I can tell...
although now that my subscription "impressions" have been exhausted, oddly, I now have a "remove ads" checkbox on the front page??
I belive that has to do with karma...
System going down in 5 minutes.
