We had the remarkably unpleasant experience of having a house fire two years ago. While the structure itself was alright, just about everything in the house was destroyed due to the smoke and heat, including almost all of our electronics. 3 desktops, 2 laptops, an old Proliant server, 2 UPS's, Printer, 2 TV's, fax machine, scanner, DVD players, 3 cameras.....you get the idea. When we moved back in, electronics wise, we bought only what we missed. The 3 desktops were replaced with one that was faster (and cheaper) than the ones it replaced, the printer by a print/fax/scan combo unit, the 2 TV's were consolidated to one, blah, blah.

Point being, do wait until you see what you need. You'll likely end up with a smaller, but more useful, pile of equipment in the end.

Used to be more true than it is now. Most fuel station tanks in the USA are 2-3 ft underground, below the frost line, so the stored fuel temperature stays at a relatively constant 50 or 60-something degrees even on the hottest summer days. Sure, if it's a bloody hot day at a station that isn't used much, the fuel that's actually in the pump may warm up a little, but they retain very little gas.

How am I halfway down the comments and haven't read another possible solution: The FBI has (or nearly has) broken TOR, sends out this press release to saying that they can't so that the folks using it for whatever illicit purposes pile data on there, giving the FBI far more data to work with. In 6 months, we read a headline that says "FBI uncovers major CP ring thanks to paid informant", and everyone goes on their merry way.

The problem with "full consent" is that, in a lot of cases, it isn't. Ignoring the scientific problems with human-based data, the ethical considerations are extremely problematic.

Yes, there are at least half a dozen polymer frame pistols on the market (Glock, the xD family from Smith, etc...). Every single one of them has a steel slide. Every single one has a steel barrel. Read up on the entire Glock family....not one has anything but a steel barrel and slide, as there are not mainstream polymers that can take the beating. We'll ignore the springs, screws, firing pin, and a bunch of other parts that are metal and couldn't reasonably be replaced with anything else.
