The article says transporting hydrogen is "a big challenge". Well then don't transport it. All you need to generate it is water and electricity, which are both pretty easy to transport. What they need to work on is a cheaper way to generate electricity.

When I was in 3rd grade, we had to learn how to write in cursive. Through 5th grade we were told that all of our writing had to be in cursive. In 6th grade, the teachers told us they didn't really care, so I started printing again, because that was what I was more comfortable with.
