At the same time, harmful misinformation is rampant in social media and I don't believe the Biden administration intends any sort of "or else" when it asks.

The government is an organization designed to operate within constitutional limits and laws enacted by Congress. Hence, all government "asks" and "actions" bear "or else" mark. When IRS sends you a letter with "ask", you can be rest assured there is "or else" attached to it.

First of all, Gemini was a flawed product. It did not have any temporal awareness. While generic "family" may be diverse, family of Vikings certainly wasn't. When they "fixed" the attributes, it started hallucinating and providing responses from some imaginary fantasy world. They rushed the product to the market without vetting or testing it. It is a leadership failure.

Second, creating unbiased human-like interface is an impossible task. There is no universal truth. The best you can do is to create multiple personalities that provide useful information in the context of cultural biases. Woke marxists, MAGA characters, fanbois, religious fanatics, raging atheists are nuts in their own way but it does not mean you cannot have meaningful conversation with them without outright offending their beliefs.

Old codebases need maintenance. It is a technical debt that comes due eventually. The most direct approach to improve security and quality of C++ project is to migrate to more recent C++ specification and compilers. Adding layer of "rust" to old codebases is not going to make them safer or better.

What people don't understand is that 23andMe is a biotech company. Consumer DNA is a front and it is a fairly niche business. Drug discovery and partnerships are the money business and it takes time. Biotech is a high-risk/high-reward investment. It either works or it does not. It is not for casual retail investors. They cannot bear that kind of uncertainty and pain as the article shows.

The point was you used flawed argument to disprove a strawman. You will have to look at Musk's data to prove or disprove the claim. Instead, you conjured arbitrary model and used it to disprove unseen sampling data. In the case you presented, with random killing and random killers, the probabilities are the same. Irrespective or ratios. The sampling you would expect to see, would be 77% white-on-white, 11% black-on-white and white-on-black and 1% black-on-black. Is that Musk's data? Because if not, then you model does not apply.
