High friction surface which requires constant work and they want to paint it in temperature sensitive markings which will get covered in sot and worn down in a heartbeat? Prolonging any and all road maintenance.
Why not just have a sign painted in the same material which does the same job, except you can actually see it a lot easier?
I do like the idea of glow in the dark roads for increased visibility, but not for reading the temperature.

Oh... wait...
This is true in some cases, but it's not always the best way. Look at Prohibition, it was repealed after large groups of people created organizations that publicly protested the law and eventually they were convinced that there was a better way to deal with alcohol (including taxation).
Look at the war on drugs in America. Are all those people in jail serving a purpose for deliberately disobeying the law? Has anything changed since it started?
I'm not saying you're wrong, I just wonder if there are better ways than trying to run an underground law-breaking revolution that nobody knows about.
In terms of actual gains? None. But you don't gain being right or lawful. Nor do you change the viewpoint of legal system.
That's not how LAWS work.
If the government has declared something illegal you just can't use "But sir, I don't agree with said law" and walk away from the crime without any consequences.
Is the government wrong? Probably, but you should focus on changing the government to change the laws rather than just breaking the law and hoping for the best.
And patent it.
Maybe, but the initial invention will probably be more primitive since things that currently have been invented have all had time to be refined and improved.
Have this crude example: We un-invent coal plants and all their improvements. Someone re-invents it. The reinvented version will start from scratch and most probably be less efficient and produce more waste.
That's all I meant and why I used the word "probably".
Sure you can, you just need to have as many nukes as the other guy.
Never forget something you once knew. Un-inventing is a pointless and terrible waste of time as it will most probably just be re-invented, but in a probably more primitive state.
Improve and move on and document everything, don't burn libraries.
I grew up on salty liquorice and have had untold amounts of fun sharing it with foreigners and taking statistics of how many have to spit it out. I think the current count leaves it about 8 out of 10 people have to spit it out, 1 out of 10 will eat it out of sheer willpower and determination and the last 1 will enjoy it.
No no no.
Implications: Apple should SUE Austria.
But that's exactly my point, we can't assume anything.
Unless that was the original intention? And then to study what happens after that. Maybe they're researching the effect of a simulation becoming aware of it's own simulation?
Maybe they'll change the rules when it happens? Maybe there will be no more hunger parameters, maybe there will be no more boobs. Who knows?
That's what science is for, asking questions: Even if they are incredibly far fetched and borderline scamming for funds.
Personally I can think of dozens of better fields to spend time and money on, but that's the beauty of the human mind. Some people will dig around in places you think are absurd and if they DO find something you might benefit from it.
Unfortunately 3D printers will probably have DRM against printing printers that don't contain the DRM.
Although maybe if you print a printer that can print non drm printers to print a printer that can print printers (or guns)?
Suck it woodchucks.
