China already stole everything they needed, I think at this point, from a mutual cooperation at least the US can get input instead of output of information. You can't stop China from getting what they want, if they want secrets, they will bribe, steal, spy or do what it is needed to get them.

Avatar is the only movie worth watching in 3D. I watched it on TV and it sucked, the plot is basically the same as in pocahontas, but the effects on 3D were cool. On the other hand Tron Legacy had nothing on 3D, that was the biggest scam of all, if you took off the glasses during the movie there was no difference. I live in Ecuador so there were subtitles, that was the only 3D in the movie. It was just an excuse to charge more fore the film. Thats why I am reluctant to pay for any 3D, I dont want pay extra for that Tron Legacy fiasco.

How can you link two things completely unrelated like that?? Wikileaks is not about sharing secrets and revealing things. That is an understatement. They do believe that people are allowed to privacy. They are whistler blowers, so when ever countries and corporations are hiding information to the public about wars, oil, secret bank accounts, etc, if there is an informant wikileaks can be a media to share secrets that major media like Washington post or NY Times are afraid to publish. Then HBGary comes and tries to pull a publicity stunt by saying they have information about Anonymous and pretending to sell that to the FBI. Not having any idea what they were facing, Anonymous bites back and rips their head off. And publishes all the information about important Anonymous members that HBGary had. (Plus several emails and secret plans to discredit wikileaks???) What do you expect from a group called Anonymous, by definition they will pretty much like to keep their anonymity. Besides they operate on the limits of the law, and have crossed that line many times, by no means they will like to be exposed, so DUH.

Comparing proprietary software vs open source is retarded. From one side you have certain companies and their products, in the other you have communities and services. It is like comparing a solar system with a galaxy. Open source or Free software is much bigger, it has an ideology behind. It covers a wide range of programs, applications and even hardware that supports. Closed source doesnt have an ideology, it justs looks for profit. I dont think it is bad to create closed source programs or to profit from that, just dont attack an awesome idea that benefits everyone just because you want to profit.

WTF. Linux poor hardware support??? There is no other OS that has all that hardware support. Linux runs on many architectures, and supports a great variety of hardware that no other OS support. A lot of the "drivers" are hacked, but hey I never had a problem with an ethernet cards and i had 3D acceleration when there was none on the mac book pro. Linux have always had better hardware support than mac, mac only supports mac hardware. The biggest problems we had were back in the day of dial up connection and winmodems and when wireless cards started to show up. If there was a Venn diagram about it, the Linux Circle will be at least twice the size of windows, and 10 times the mac circle.

Yeah I was going to make the same comment. Linux and BSD have years of coding. It just doesnt make sense. As far as I know the NSA used linux and that is how SELinux showed up. It is always hard to explain to some people why free software /open source can benefit them.
