Frankly, managing privacy and security is a giant PITA, and I'd reckon, a drag on resources. Microsoft has dozens of teams working, each integrating standards at their own pace. If you don't like it... or have something to hide... then don't use Microsoft services. P.S. I think all web traffic should be secured. Period.

Most people don't care. How many commerce engines are running in the background handling transactions? As long as the point to point transaction is "secure", who cares if its linked to the domain. The vast majority of people running mom and pop shops, or even in the tech industry doing dev / testing, don't care about tying certs down to a domain because they use lots of domains / change often and its a pain and viewed as a waste of time to manage all of them.

To those bellyaching about "security", It's targeted at the consumer... not the pinnacle of perfection demanding hyper geek crowd who demands absolute security. You can always disable the face recognition in favor of windoze login. If you are a cyber crook like gifted facial contortionist like Jim Carrey aimed at thieving a user's data great. You know who you are! As far as it having trouble recognizing those with darker complexion, perhaps the low resolution camera combined with poor lighting could be a factor. My laptop doesn't always recognize me in low light, and I just have a nice George Hamilton tan :)

What is exactly is being ruined by liberals? Oh you mean after Bush ran our economy into the ground, cost us 1000's of lives abroad in wasteful wars, reduced education lowering our ability to compete globally, and let other fatheads get rich in the mean time.... yeah I want more conservatives running the country. Get a grip.
