I agree, it won't happen. What we will see is a future in cashless world reserve electronic currency to replace the US Dollar by the world Elites. As the disaster of the EURO shows, if you can get governments to give up their own currency, you can dictate what they must do to continue to receive loans. Safely out of government's control, the elites will back it by gold/silver so it will be stable in price and against inflation.

Hugh Pickens writes "Dr James Hansen, director of the NASA's Goddard Institute for Space Studies, who first made warnings about climate change in the 1980s, writes in the NY Times that he was troubled to read a recent interview with President Obama in Rolling Stone in which he said that Canada would exploit the oil in its vast tar sands reserves 'regardless of what we do.' According to Hansen 'Canada's tar sands, deposits of sand saturated with bitumen, contain twice the amount of carbon dioxide emitted by global oil use in our entire history. If we were to fully exploit this new oil source, and continue to burn our conventional oil, gas and coal supplies, concentrations of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere eventually would reach levels higher than in the Pliocene era, more than 2.5 million years ago, when sea level was at least 50 feet higher than it is now.' Hansen says that instead of placing a rising fee on carbon emissions to make fossil fuels pay their true costs, leveling the energy playing field, the world's governments are forcing the public to subsidize fossil fuels with hundreds of billions of dollars per year."

parallel_prankster writes "Bloomberg reports that Eduardo Saverin, the billionaire co- founder of Facebook, has renounced his U.S. citizenship before an initial public offering that values the social network at as much as $96 billion, a move that may reduce his tax bill. From the article: 'Facebook plans to raise as much as $11.8 billion through the IPO, the biggest in history for an Internet company. Saverin's stake is about 4 percent, according to the website Who Owns Facebook. At the high end of the IPO valuation, that would be worth about $3.84 billion. Saverin, 30, joins a growing number of people giving up U.S. citizenship, a move that can trim their tax liabilities in that country. Saverin won't escape all U.S. taxes. Americans who give up their citizenship owe what is effectively an exit tax on the capital gains from their stock holdings, even if they don't sell the shares, said Reuven S. Avi-Yonah, director of the international tax program at the University of Michigan's law school. For tax purposes, the IRS treats the stock as if it has been sold.'"

Fluffeh writes "As recently covered here, EU countries are starting to drop ACTA support. Now, long-time opponent of the secretly negotiated Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement, Sen. Ron Wyden introduced an amendment to a Senate 'jobs bill' that would force ACTA to come before Congress for approval. His second amendment tries to force a change (PDF) in how the whole process around such treaties is handled. Right now, the U.S. attempts to keep its negotiating positions a secret. What vital national security interests could be at stake if the public knew USTR was promoting 'graduated response' laws or proposing changes in ISP liability? Wyden doesn't believe there are any."

That brings into play the hotly debated Abiotic Oil theory. Conspiracy rumors have been the Deep Horizon disaster was based on BP hitting Abiotic oil and the pressure was too great for the faulty design and faulty materials used. Rumors also have been the Russians tapped into Abiotic oil during their deep drilling experiments. If this paper is correct that complex carbon chains are common in the universe, I'm wondering if the oil companies have known about it on Earth and didn't want to tell us about it till they got the price of crude high enough? That might explain the Liberty Rig that was erected about this time last year off the North Slope on a gravel island that was also known as Gull Island. Liberty Rig can drill 8 miles for slant drilling, that might be deep enough to hit Abiotic oil locked just at or just below the Earth's crust.

It won't be an netbook "Amiga" as Hyperion does not have a license for the "Amiga" name for hardware. Hyperion can only use "AmigaOne" as it's official name for it's hardware series. The only company that has an official license to call their hardware Commodore Amiga is http://www.commodore.net/ who are using a customized Mint OS distro.
