nope. USA is a country. England is not. The country is "The United Kingdom" of which England is one part.

Well, that comes as a big surprise to those of us who were born in one of the countries that comprise the United Kingdom. All this time we believed that Wales, England, and Scotland were each separate countries, with unique cultures and languages that were just part of the UK. Maybe history and having separate laws and legislative systems got us poor little souls confused.

How lucky we are to have such experts on the InterWebz who can set us straight.

Would this action not have put them in breach of contract? Could you not seek a termination of said contract, with subsequent loss of their 'rights' to your paper, as well as costs and compensation to yourself for both the breach and the implied dafamation? Also wouldn't there also be a spurious takedown which might help you in the other a rguments?

I cannot imagine that the parent company cannot contractually discipline a franchise should they bring the brand into disrepute.

Unless the brand owner takes action to disassociate itself from this action and withdraw support from this franchise, I will not set foot in any branch or franchise of this company world-wide because I need to know that I can exercise my rights to share my fair opinions without threat of legal action should I get bad service.

15-Year-Old Student Discovers New Pulsar 103

For the second time in as many years, a student has made a discovery while participating in the Pulsar Search Collaboratory (PSC), a joint program between the National Radio Astronomy Observatory and West Virginia University designed to get students and teachers involved in analyzing data from the Robert C. Byrd Green Bank Telescope (GBT). This time it was high school sophomore Shay Bloxton, who discovered a brand new pulsar. "For Bloxton, the pulsar discovery may be only her first in a scientific career. 'Participating in the PSC has definitely encouraged me to pursue my dream of being an astrophysicist,' she said, adding that she hopes to attend West Virginia University to study astrophysics. Late last year, another West Virginia student, from South Harrison High School, Lucas Bolyard, discovered a pulsar-like object called a rotating radio transient. His discovery also came through participation in the PSC."

Man Accuses Cat of Downloading Child Porn 174

bruce_the_loon writes "They have blamed viruses. They have blamed neighbors. They have accused police of planting it. In rare cases, they have admitted downloading it. This is the first time someone has accused a cat of downloading child porn onto their computer. This seems like a defense almost too stupid to be made up."

That is not what you said. You mad an assumption about the OP and byt your tone and approach determined that a REAL DEVELOPER would use nothing but a text editor. I was refuting that as patently barking.

I also have met alleged 'pros' who couldn't tell a tag from a headbut on the keyboard and have deep sixed more than a few when I've taken over the teams. I am rabit about W3C standards.

Your second paragraph of your reply was much more sensible and had you said it in the first place, I doubt you would have had the responses that you have felt it necessary to defend yourself from.
