My RC Helicopter is controlled using 2.4 GHz digital link. And there are more and more 2.4 GHz devices, as radio components are now cheap enough. I wonder when (digital) CB and PMR devices start using 2.4 GHz too.

It seems that at least Ubuntu and Windows Vista are using tricky thumbnail cache, which is saved to system path. So it's nice to find thumbnails of all those so secret photos from it. ;) Oops, I didn't have those, I don't know what those are. Err...

That's just why XTS is being used instead of ECB. Even if every block would contain same plaintext data, encrypted output is always different. And for speed and random access, any chaning modes aren't being used like CBC.

Finnish museum of technology also bought one of those servers and is going to put it on display in Helsinki. I suppose that many other servers were also sold to museums.

It's not only Ubuntu or Linux. It's operating system independent issue. I have my DVR (Using it's own OS), which used to put HD in sleep every 15 seconds. When I changed other HD problem went away. So it's not about operating system at all. It's about HD manufacturer setting strange (too much too low) default values for drive.

Did somebody (really?) forget that HD drives are being used in many other systems than dektop / laptop computers, using Linux or Windows?

In seconds you'll get email back with the web page of file which you requested. Very very handy in case direct browsing is limited for some reasons. Btw. It's easy way to get to pages from work which are otherwise blocked by corporate firewall.

Yes, they're still available... For a price. I just found out that my bank stores bills, balance sheets etc important information only for 18 months. After that I can for sure get those records, but it'll cost me 50 / month (balance sheets). Nice cost, eh. Stock exchange information is even more expensive. So they do for sure keep records, but you can't access those for free. That's why I store everything yearly on my own server and take backups.

We're quite happy. We used to use all traditional tools. Now we're using Eclipse, Ubuntu, Open Office, Firefox, Evolution and all new applications being created are created as web applications. We're very happy with this. All used tools being used are free open source or our own products. We work in software development sector. We havent been missing outlook or sharepoint too much at all.

When I were young I had excellent morale, ethics and I believe that people would to the right thing. After watching corrupted and totally selfish corporate bosses for years. I really think that I should not have any morale at all. I also though that Dilbert is funny cartoon. But it's just the reality.
