They were given a seemingly indefinite amount of time to get around to wrapping up their story arc and instead dawdled and expanded and answered questions with more questions in an almost seemingly serial model to acquire more money.

That's the feeling I got watching Prometheus last weekend. I was expecting "Stay Tuned" to pop up before the credits. Perhaps they did, the dramatic run from the rolling ship was the last absurdity I could take that particular day.

We are far from enlightened as a society, a more sensible argument could be made to liken us to a cancer consuming ourselves along with the host. Greed is considered a 'right' and is played on by marketers and managers to feed our primitive limbic hunger. Go ahead, wheedle someone's welfare under false pretenses, it's just 'playing the game', right? More risk, more reward...just like at the casino. Greed=good. Kindness=weakness. Philanthropy is only good after you've raped your environment of all within your grasp. All others, keep dreaming and betting on the come...your turn at fantastic wealth and sated dreams is just around the corner.

A 'Stop Gouge' button that makes a movie night cost me less than or equal to what I make in it's equivalent running time.
A 'Stop Loss' button that refunds me the price of admission, snacks and reimburses me for my time when the only good parts of the feature appear in the trailer in their entirety.

Frontline's eight year old documentary called The Persuaders (specifically chapter 5, though it's all quite interesting) showed the pollsters going door to door, but before knocking they got all your data from Axciom or Lexis so they could tell you EXACTLY what you want to hear. Disingenuous? Nahh, it's just politics.

Apparently they didn't get the memo from Rummy, he had the receipts and the profit sharing to prove it. Not saying the attack on a sovereign nation would have been justified, just saying just because we say we didn't find them, doesn't mean they weren't there(or that we really didn't find them).
